Moshi is quieter than Arusha most nights, but it has one venue that is genuinely worth planning an evening around.
Redstone is the town's real answer to a big night out — indoor and outdoor sections, space for roughly two thousand people, live bands and DJs most weekends, open into the early hours seven nights a week. It has been the name locals and long-term visitors mention first for years, consistently, which is rarer than it sounds for a nightclub.
One honest note: like any large club anywhere, keep an eye on your own drink and stay with people you trust — a few reviews mention the usual big-venue risks. It is exactly the kind of night that is better with a guide who knows the room and gets you home afterwards rather than figuring out a taxi alone at 2am in a town you do not know. Yes, where a national park is involved. Tanzania National Parks charges East African citizens a lower entry fee than non-residents, and we pass that difference through directly. Community-run attractions charge everyone the same, so those prices do not change. A national ID or East African passport is checked at the gate.
Most day trips can be arranged for the following morning, and often the same day. Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and group size for confirmation.
No visa. No flight. A national ID and a Saturday morning shuttle is all it takes — and as an East African citizen you pay a fraction of what visitors from outside the region pay at the park gate.
Tanzania National Parks charges East African citizens a different entry fee to non-residents. That is a government rate, not our discount — we simply pass it through instead of quoting you the tourist price. Your ID is checked at the gate, the same way TANAPA checks it.

This is not a marketing discount. A day trip costs the same to run whether one person or eight come along: one vehicle, one guide, one tank of fuel. Split that across more people and the per-person price genuinely falls. Only the park or village entrance fee stays per-head.

Worked out from real costs — current diesel prices, actual park and village fees, and one vehicle divided by the number of seats used. Our margin is the same at two people as at eight; you are simply sharing the fixed costs. Groups above eight need a second vehicle, so ask and we will price it properly rather than guess.

No. East African Community citizens — Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan — enter Tanzania on a national ID or EAC passport. No visa and no visa fee. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is checked at the border.
About 6–7 hours by shuttle bus, covering ~350 km via the Namanga border, including 30–60 minutes for immigration. Driving yourself takes about 6 hours on the A104. Shuttles typically leave Nairobi at 8:00am and 2:00pm and cost around $30–$40 one way.
Yes, substantially. Tanzania National Parks sets a separate entry fee for East African citizens that is a fraction of the non-resident rate — Arusha National Park is roughly $115 per person for an EAC citizen against about $186 for a foreign visitor on the same guided day. Your national ID is checked at the gate.
The price per person falls as the group grows, because a day trip costs the same to run whether one person or eight come: one vehicle, one guide, one tank of fuel. Split across more people, the per-person cost genuinely drops — a Chemka Hot Springs day is around $108 each for two people and closer to $37 each for eight. Only the park or village entrance fee stays per head.
Yes. Namanga is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is the busiest crossing between Kenya and Tanzania. Most shuttle traffic crosses mid-morning, so arriving outside that window usually means shorter queues.
Comfortably. Leave Nairobi on the 8:00am shuttle Saturday, be in Moshi by early afternoon, do a full day trip on Sunday and travel back Sunday evening or Monday morning. Waterfalls, hot springs, coffee farms and a national park walking safari all fit inside a single day.
