You could walk these streets alone. With a guide you understand them — and you are left alone by the touts.
From $10 per person in a group. Two people and solo travellers pay a little more per person because the guide is shared by fewer people. Every walk page has a calculator with the exact price. The price is the same for East Africans and international visitors.
City walks take 3 to 4 hours on foot. Nature walks take 4 to 6 hours including the short drive out of town.
City walks start at the Clock Tower in Arusha or Moshi, or at your hotel. A tuk-tuk (bajaji) or taxi from your hotel can be added. Nature walks start with a pickup at your hotel.
Yes. You get a private licensed guide. Many solo travellers book a walk on their arrival day or between safaris.
A licensed local guide (one for every 8 walkers), entrance fees on the route, drinking water, and coffee or tea with a snack. Lunch can be added. Transport is included when you choose it.
Yes. Your guide knows the streets and the people, keeps a comfortable pace and helps with bargaining and photos. Keep valuables out of sight, as in any city.
