Kilimanjaro International (JRO) to Arusha $60 About 1 hour 15. Fixed price whatever time you land — night arrivals cost the same.
Arusha Airport (ARK) to town $25 Fifteen minutes. This is the small airport for bush flights, not the international one.
Namanga border to Arusha $55 For travellers coming down from Nairobi on the shuttle. Tell us your crossing time and we are there — no negotiating a fare after five hours on a bus.
Namanga border to Moshi $85 Around 3 hours. Worth it if your trip starts on the Kilimanjaro side.

Which airport you are actually landing at

  • Kilimanjaro International (JRO) The one nearly every international flight uses. Sits between Arusha and Moshi — about 45 minutes to Moshi, an hour and fifteen to Arusha. There is very little around it, so do not plan to stay nearby unless your flight is genuinely at dawn.
  • Arusha Airport (ARK) A small airport 15 minutes from Arusha town, used for bush flights to the Serengeti and Zanzibar. Not the international airport, and confusing them is a common and expensive mistake.
  • Namanga border Not an airport, but where you arrive coming down from Nairobi by shuttle. We meet you at the crossing so you are not negotiating a fare with a stranger after five hours on a bus.

How it works

  • We meet you inside arrivals With your name on a board, not waiting in the car park expecting you to find us.
  • Your flight is tracked If you land three hours late we are still there. You do not need to message anyone.
  • Pay on arrival Cash in dollars or shillings, or arrange it with your trip. No deposit for a transfer.
  • Price is per vehicle Up to four people with luggage. A family of four pays the same as one person.
