Sasaab Lodge

Sasaab Lodge brings an unexpected Moroccan aesthetic to the Samburu landscape — arched doorways, mosaic tiling, and whitewashed walls contrast dramatically with the arid red terrain of Northern Kenya. Nine spacious rooms each have an open-sided design framing the Ewaso Nyiro River below and the Samburu plains beyond. The swimming pool, cantilevered above the river, is one of the great pool positions in Africa. The lodge works with a private concession surrounding the reserve allowing walking safaris with Samburu warriors and game drives in areas inaccessible to public vehicles.
